From the previews, I thought this movie was going to be overly violent, just blood and gore and not much plot. Luckily, I was wrong. What an interesting (true) story about what happened in Harlem during the drug wars and more shockingly, the involvement of the military transporting drugs during Vietnam. Denzel Washington does an outstanding job as the bad guy everyone learns to admire and respect, and Russell Crowe who excels equally by playing the good guy that we cheer on to finally expose this drug ring. The costumes, the intrigue, and the fabulous acting combine to make this a must-see of this award season.
