Clearly my vote for best movie of 2005. Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon were outstanding as Johnny Cash and June Carter, and the fact that they each studied singing for months before filming and did all the singing in the movie made it even more special. I learned a lot about Johnny Cash's early career and how he got his start. The growing romance between Johnny and June was played perfectly by both actors, with the give-and-take, the hesitations, the guilt and the love being revealed at just the right times. Entertaining from beginning to end, this love story and music biopic will capture your heart. You will want to see this movie more than once and buy the soundtrack!
