Meet Portia Fallon, recently divorced, and forced to return home from Syracuse graduate school to her southern roots under false pretenses. Held captive by the Miz Fallons (her mom, aunt and grandmother), Portia is set up to meet the local town's visiting bachelor, Ian Beckett, a British novelist. With plenty of advice from her family, Portia tries to make it through her temporary visit home with her sanity intact and her love life on hold. However, Ian has other plans for her.
This is a witty and hilarious romantic tale set in a in a sea of conflicting accents (British and southern) spoken by lovable characters. You'll truly enjoy watching over Portia's shoulder as she sorts out the pieces of her life and finds a way to rejoin her crazy but delightful family.
