A serial killer, a cyber-hacker, and a newly laid-off investigative reporter are the key elements of Michael Connelly's latest suspense tale. Set in L.A. and Arizona, this is the story of a reporter Jack McEvoy's chance for his swan song crime story, aided by his on-again, off-again love interest, FBI agent Rachel Walling. The two are madly trying to track down a serial killer who seems to know their every move - in advance. When Jack's identity and credit cards are compromised, he realizes this is no ordinary murderer. He realizes that he and Rachel might be next in line on the murderer's list. It becomes a race between the good reporter and agent, and the evil Scarecrow who needs to be found and captured before Jack's last day at the newspaper. Who will win out? This is a real page-turner; reserve a good block of time for this one (and you might learn some new technology terms along the way). Enjoy!
